New Voices Symposium 2019

With this event, the Cereal Science and Technology of South Africa is striving to unite students in cereal science from a national platform, and to provide them with the opportunity to report on their research on wheat, maize, barley and sorghum. Specific objectives were to:

• provide postgraduate students and young career scientists with the opportunity to present an oral presentation at a national event;
• offer participants the opportunity to share their research findings, exchange knowledge and experiences;
• create a critical mass of young, enthusiastic cereal scientists; and
• showcase potential new employees to representatives of the grain industry value chain.
